What's going on with me...

Yep, it's been a while.

I originally figured that i'd be too busy to do any more xanga, but hey! i really missed it :o)

So here i am again...NO i have not fallen off the face of the earth...

I'm currently married and enjoying almost every minute of it! I have the most wonderful husband in the whole world and every single day we learn something new about each other.  I still don't know what i ever did to deserve such a wonderful boy, but he's just perfect for me.

God has been teaching us both so much these past two months, and it's exiting to see how He's working in our lives.

Steve is currently keeping very busy coaching the baseball team at Haskell University while still trying to complete his degree.  He will be graduating this May from Haskell, but next semester he'll probably continue taking courses...i don't know how it all works out, it just does.

I will be graduating from Johnson County this May also with my A.A. degree; next semester is still up in the air as to where i'll be going.

....In fact, I would really appreciate everybody's prayers about my career decisions that need to SOOOOON  be made.....I still need some divine guidance....

God's teaching me a lot about p-a-t-i-e-n-c-e

Life is Still Good

So God is pretty much amazing....

I went to PASSION in Nashville, Tennessee last week with the best group of people in the world!

But the main thing on my mind now is that I'm GETTING MARRIED ON SATURDAY!!!  And for anyone who is asking, NO i'm not at all nervous or freaked out by the whole idea.  It's hilarious the number of people that have asked me and Steve if we're all scared about it.

Everything is so laid back for the two of us, and I know that without Jesus we wouldn't feel this way....

SO...for anyone who wants to come see us...we will be having a reception one week from our wedding on January 21st at Stidham Hall on Haskell campus at 1 p.m.  We would love to see everybody, and it's not that hard to get to Stidham...it's located just off 10 highway (23rd st.) just past Indian Ave.

ANYWAY...since my life is apparently about to get much busier than it is now, this might possibly be my last Xanga entry. I still have to decide whether or not I'll keep all this going but in case i don't, make the best of it!

Well, Peace out my brothers and sisters... I love you all and May God Bless each and every one of you this coming year...

Soooo....it's been a long time since xanga has heard from me.... i suppose an update is due...

There's so much that has been happening lately let me just give you the highlights of what the past few months have held....

- Currently almost done with my second-to-last semester at johnson co.;after my measly eight hours next semester, i'm outta here for good!

- Still working in lawrence at checkers, but contemplating how long i'm gonna be there (i really want a new job!)

- Still planning on getting married, but that's gonna happen a lot sooner than i expected!  As it turns out....steve and i bought a new car a few weeks ago (a very nice ford escape) and with all the insurance mumbo-jumbo crap, we've decided that getting married as soon as possible will in the long run save us thousands of dollars...so the NEW WEDDING DATE is now officially January 14, 2006.  Let me already extend or apologies to all those who won't be able to make it this day... this is because we have planned a private wedding to be held at my church with only our close families and a few select friends.  BUT don't feel bad! The weekend following the wedding we will be having a shower/reception also at the church and absolutely everyone is welcome to come for that! Then the weekend AFTER that, we will be in Oklahoma for a shower/reception with all the okies at steve's church....

If you find the time, please pray for mine and steve's financial situation, which is currently getting very serious... at the time we are looking for an apartment to rent in December for when we get married, and it's difficult to find something thats in our price range... It's funny how God teaches us to have patience and faith in Him...we had just spent the weekend praying and telling God that we were going to have faith that he would get us through financially and then he sends us another big test....to put it simply, Steven got into a wreck yesterday and severely damaged his very expensive, very nice truck.  Throughout this new situation, we are still trusting God and we both feel secure that He is still suppliying all our needs (and He is!)  His parents have both asked us how we were going to get by, and we honestly don't see how, but we know we will by the grace of GOD...He is soooo amazing!!!

For anyone who is interested, our reception will be January 21, 2006 at Cornerstone Southern Baptist Church in Lawrence, KS.

Let me know if you're seriously interested in coming and i can give you directions!!

Thank you for your prayers....i love you all            ~Laura Lou
